Director of Finance

About the role

The Finance Director will be a strategic, hands‑on leader responsible for spiderSilk’s financial strategy, performance, governance and operational finance. Working closely with the CEO and executive team, this role will drive sustainable growth, improve unit economics and enable capital‑efficient scaling for a fast‑growing cybersecurity SaaS company.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own the company’s financial strategy aligned to growth goals and product roadmap.
• Partner with the CEO/Board on performance, runway, scenario analysis and trade‑offs.
• Lead annual planning, budgeting, forecasting and long‑range financial modeling.
• Establish KPI frameworks for SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn and margin.
• Own accounting, month‑end close, financial statements and management reporting cadence.
• Implement internal controls, policies and approval workflows for spend, procurement and delegations.
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, audit and corporate governance requirements in the UAE and KSA.
• Oversee payroll, treasury, cash flow and working‑capital management.
• Partner with Sales on pricing, discounting, deal structuring and revenue recognition.
• Build a scalable order‑to‑cash process covering invoicing, collections and renewal forecasting.
• Prepare investor‑grade reporting, board packs and performance narratives.
• Select and implement finance tooling (ERP, FP&A, billing, expense systems) that scales.
• Hire, coach and develop a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Strategic, hands‑on finance leader with experience partnering with CEOs and executive teams.
• Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management for SaaS or high‑growth technology companies.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance and corporate governance.
• Ability to build and lead a finance function, including hiring and developing talent.
