Director of Outside Catering Sales

About the role

The Director of Outside Catering Sales will lead revenue growth and market expansion for the outside catering division of JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, the role combines strategic sales planning with close collaboration with culinary and events teams to deliver high‑value catering contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that positions the hotel as a market leader in outside catering.
• Identify new market opportunities, build relationships with corporate, government and event industry clients, and drive proactive sales activities.
• Lead pricing, negotiations and commercial decisions to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline management and performance reporting to senior management.
• Collaborate with culinary, banquet and event operations to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
• Coach, mentor and develop a high‑performing sales team, setting clear objectives and succession plans.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of experience in outside catering sales, events operations or planning.
• Proven experience managing a sales team and delivering revenue targets.
• Experience in the hospitality sector is desirable; Marriott experience is a plus.
• Fluent Arabic is desirable but not essential.
