Director of Recreation

About the role

The Director of Recreation will lead all recreational activities for employees and guests at The Cove Rotana, ensuring safe, enjoyable experiences. This senior position oversees program development, staff management, and facility maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement recreational programs and activities for employees and guests.
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise a team of recreation staff.
• Maintain recreational facilities to meet safety standards and ensure proper upkeep.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events and activities.
• Monitor program effectiveness, evaluate outcomes and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in recreational management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols for recreational activities.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
