Director of Sales (Head of Department)

About the role

The Director of Sales will lead, direct and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed annual revenue targets while upholding Kempinski’s luxury standards and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the annual budget with forecasts and statistics.
• Submit sales administration documents such as call schedules, reports and monthly team reports to the General Manager.
• Set sales targets, personal sales plans and incentives for all sales personnel.
• Formulate strategies to run an effective sales team and monitor outstanding balances.
• Promote cross‑selling of other Kempinski hotels and ensure all enquiries are answered within 24 hours.
• Manage key accounts, prospect new accounts and maximise revenue in assigned markets.
• Attend international fairs and road shows to build strong relationships.
• Prepare weekly activity plans, conduct site inspections and follow up tentative bookings.

Required profile

• Strong luxury hospitality background.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar senior sales role.
• UAE driving licence.
• Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Business Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Opera and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of local and international cultures, having worked in the region.
• Result‑ and quality‑driven attitude.
• Direct reporting line to the General Manager.
