Director Operational Excellence

About the role

The Head of Operational Excellence will establish and lead Mediclinic Middle East's permanent process excellence function, overseeing design, governance, measurement and improvement of all organisational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Operational Excellence function, including operating model, governance, standards and process maturity framework.
• Chair the Process Council and drive sustainable continuous improvement across the network.
• Lead the transition from partner‑delivered transformation to internal ownership and certify baselines and realised benefits.
• Build and manage an Operations Command Centre for real‑time visibility, capacity and patient‑flow management.
• Drive AI and automation adoption in operational processes in partnership with IT and digital teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years’ experience in healthcare operations, operational excellence or business transformation.
• At least 5 years’ leadership experience in process excellence or operational transformation across multi‑site organisations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field; MBA or MHA preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
