Director - QHSE & ESG

About the role

Noatum Logistics, part of AD Ports Group and a top 50 global freight forwarder, is seeking a Director to lead its HSSEQ & ESG function across the region. The role leads the implementation, execution and continuous improvement of the company's Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Quality and ESG strategy, turning global policies into regional and country-level programmes. It acts as the principal HSSEQ & ESG adviser to the Regional Managing Director and regional leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the regional implementation of the global HSSEQ & ESG strategy, standards and priorities, and develop a risk-based regional plan aligned with business objectives.
• Act as principal adviser to the Regional Managing Director and promote a culture of leadership ownership, employee engagement and continuous improvement.
• Represent the region in global HSSEQ & ESG governance and improvement forums, and ensure compliance with HSSEQ, ESG, security, transport and quality requirements.
• Maintain processes for monitoring legislation, permits and licenses, and strengthen controls for road safety, material handling, dangerous goods, contractors, fire safety and warehouse safety.
• Ensure occupational health, wellbeing and emergency-response arrangements, and promote workforce consultation, safety leadership and proactive reporting.
• Implement global security, asset-protection and supply-chain security standards, manage risks to employees, facilities, cargo, vehicles and travel, and support AEO, CTPAT, TAPA and equivalent programmes.
• Implement regional environmental, sustainability and ESG policies, manage emissions, energy, fuel, waste, water and pollution risks, and ensure accurate Scope 1, 2 and relevant Scope 3 data.
• Deploy and maintain the global Integrated Management System, supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301, and coordinate audits, certifications, management reviews and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, environmental science, security and risk management, quality management, supply chain, logistics, business administration or a related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualifications in HSSEQ, ESG, sustainability, risk management, security, logistics or business administration preferred.
• Professional qualifications in occupational health and safety, environmental management, security, quality or risk management highly desirable.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Experience as a Lead Auditor or implementing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22301 and ISO 45001 strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of integrated management systems, legal compliance, incident investigation, operational risk management and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with ISO 22301, ISO 39001, ISO 14064, ISO 14083, GLEC, TAPA, AEO, CTPAT or equivalent regional programmes is advantageous.
