About the role

The Doorman at Sofitel Dubai The Palm welcomes guests with a warm, professional greeting, assists them with their luggage, and ensures a smooth arrival and departure experience. This frontline position is essential for creating a lasting first impression of the hotel’s French‑elegant hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and visitors, open doors, and escort them to the lobby or their vehicles.
• Provide accurate directions, arrange taxis or other transport, and monitor traffic flow of taxis, limousines, and buses.
• Maintain clear driveways, enforce parking rules, and keep the entrance area spotless.
• Handle guest luggage carefully, store items safely, and follow Lost & Found procedures.
• Assist valet, drivers, and bell attendants in daily activities.
• Manage guest complaints professionally, resolve issues, and record outcomes.
• Report any serious matters to the supervisor or manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑service role, preferably in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, professional appearance.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and remain calm under pressure.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
