Drama Teacher for 2027/2028 Academic Year

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Drama Teacher to join its growing network of schools for the 2027/2028 academic year. The role involves creating a nurturing, play‑based learning environment that inspires creativity and supports students' academic, social, and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging drama lessons that meet curriculum requirements and cater to a wide ability range.
• Organise classroom resources, create displays and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and use data to inform future planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and external professionals such as speech therapists and educational psychologists.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student achievement and well‑being.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities and occasional weekend or evening duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of teaching experience, preferably with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Passion for teaching the whole child and a commitment to professional professionalism and child welfare.
• Positive, solution‑focused attitude and respect for diversity within the school community.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the drama curriculum and ability to deliver creative, imaginative lessons.
• Effective classroom management and behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to use assessment data to drive instruction and intervention.
