Draughtsman (EPLAN/ELCAD) – Electrical Design Specialist

About the role

The Draughtsman (EPLAN/ELCAD) will create accurate electrical schematics, panel layouts and technical documentation for turnkey power projects. Working closely with engineering and project teams, you will translate design concepts into detailed drawings that meet industry standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop General Arrangement (GA), layout and assembly drawings for control and protection panels, including cubicles and sub‑assemblies.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings for sheet‑metal components, mounting plates, sub‑panels and bus‑bar systems with full dimensions, tolerances and notes.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, termination drawings and panel layouts using EPLAN based on engineering inputs.
• Generate and maintain device tags, cable schedules, terminal diagrams and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specifications and applicable codes such as IEC and NFPA.
• Update and revise drawings in response to engineering changes, site feedback and as‑built requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, installation and commissioning teams to guarantee drawing accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain an organized library of drawing files and documentation for future reference.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an electrical draughtsman or similar role.
• Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, NFPA) and engineering documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• ELCAD software proficiency.
• Creation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Knowledge of IEC and NFPA standards.
