Driver

About the role

A full-time, non-management driver position at a Le Méridien hotel in Dubai (Airport Road). The driver uses the property vehicle to transport guests to and from their assigned destinations, while also handling daily reports, vehicle checks and guest service needs.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily arrival and departure reports, note special requests and check them for accuracy.
• Document all trips before they start and after they end, and document every vehicle incident and report it to the manager or supervisor.
• Transport guests to and from their destinations in the property vehicle, park it in the designated spot when not in use, and inspect it for damage and cleanliness.
• Check tire pressure and fluid levels, refuel as needed, and report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline and coaching of staff, and act as the first point of contact for the Open Door Policy.
• Follow company policies, keep a professional appearance, protect company assets and confidential information, and anticipate guests' service needs.

Required profile

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience; no supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and more with help, and move over uneven surfaces and stairs.
