Drone Operator

About the role

A skilled and responsible Drone Operator is sought in Abu Dhabi to fly unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for aerial photography, videography, inspections, surveying and data collection. The role requires hands-on drone operation experience, strong technical knowledge and compliance with aviation regulations and company standards. The package is stated as 3,000 to 5,000.

Key responsibilities

• Operate drones safely and efficiently for photography, videography, inspections, mapping and monitoring.
• Carry out pre-flight and post-flight checks, including equipment inspection, battery management and system testing.
• Plan flight routes, assess operating conditions and ensure safe deployment.
• Capture high-quality aerial images, videos and data according to project needs.
• Maintain and calibrate drone equipment, cameras, sensors and accessories.
• Process footage and flight data, and prepare flight reports, maintenance records and operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local aviation regulations, safety procedures and company policies.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients and site personnel, and carry out surveys, inspections and site assessments.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Experience with professional drone platforms such as the DJI Enterprise series or similar systems.
• Valid drone pilot certification or license as required by local aviation authorities.
• Ability to troubleshoot drone hardware and software issues and to work in different environments and weather conditions.
• Preferred: experience in construction, facilities management, real estate, security, media production or inspection; aerial photography, videography, surveying or mapping experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GIS, mapping software, photogrammetry or 3D modelling is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of photo/video editing and data processing software is an advantage.
