Dry Utilities Inspector – Electrical

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Dry Utilities Inspector specialized in electrical systems to oversee installation, testing and commissioning of dry utility infrastructure on construction sites in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that all work complies with approved designs, industry standards and safety regulations while supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect electrical dry utility installations for correct alignment, levels and gradients.
• Verify compliance with design specifications, IEC, BS, IEEE and local codes.
• Monitor material quality and workmanship throughout the construction phase.
• Witness and document system testing such as continuity and insulation resistance tests.
• Oversee commissioning to confirm full operational readiness.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and utility providers to resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with project engineers and managers to address discrepancies and implement design changes.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience inspecting electrical utility systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical dry utility infrastructure and related trenching, excavation and back‑filling processes.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for electrical works.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities for multi‑disciplinary teams.
