Duty Engineer

About the role

The Duty Engineer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires prompt troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordination with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults or equipment failures promptly.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce breakdown risk.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, following safety protocols.
• Keep detailed records of equipment status, maintenance work, and incidents.
• Coordinate with other departments to address operational and technical needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment or systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical safety, mechanical maintenance).
• Proven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of engineering systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
