Duty Manager - Engineering

About the role

Jumeirah Emirates Towers, a luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai's business district, is looking for a Duty Manager - Engineering. The role covers monitoring and maintaining the building's building management systems and related equipment, responding to breakdowns and improving energy efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Track central BMS workstations, chilled water plant parameters, AHUs/FCUs and room automation in real time.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting on DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, control valves and VFDs.
• Fine-tune operational schedules, setback temperatures and reset strategies to lower energy consumption.
• Monitor completion of PM tasks, prioritise urgent repairs and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Respond to breakdowns, utility outages and transport delays, prepare detailed reports and escalate critical issues.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements for efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years as a BMS/Automation Engineer; hotel or high-rise facility experience preferred.
• Luxury hotel background and mechanical MEP background.
• Problem-solving skills, leadership and team management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in major BMS platforms and GRMS interfaces.
