Early Childhood Teacher – Nursery (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Sharjah British International School is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to lead a nursery class in Al Ain. You will create a safe, stimulating environment where children aged 1 year 5 months to 4 years learn through play and exploration.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate age‑appropriate curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Prepare and maintain lesson plans, visual aids and teaching resources.
• Support children during mealtimes, play, and outdoor activities while ensuring health and safety standards.
• Observe, assess and record each child’s progress, producing regular reports for parents.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, nursery nurses and volunteers to coordinate indoor and outdoor learning.
• Engage with parents, providing updates on their child’s development and fostering strong partnerships.
• Promote the nursery’s values within the local community and assist in outreach activities.

Required profile

• Experience working with children aged 1‑4 years in a nursery or early‑years setting.
• Ability to develop creative, play‑based learning experiences.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with parents and team members.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Lesson‑planning and classroom‑management abilities.
