Echo Cardiographer

About the role

A qualified Echo Cardiographer is sought to join a team in Abu Dhabi, within one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks known for high-quality medical care and state-of-the-art facilities. The role involves performing echocardiography and related cardiac ultrasound procedures to help physicians diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions. Experience with pediatric patients is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms (transthoracic, transesophageal, stress echo) as ordered by physicians
• Conduct pediatric echocardiography examinations with precision and care
• Obtain and review patient history and clinical data before procedures
• Operate and maintain echocardiography machines and related diagnostic equipment
• Capture and analyse ultrasound images to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals in reviewing and interpreting results
• Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports in a timely manner
• Follow safety, infection control and quality assurance protocols
• Keep up to date with advances in echocardiography technology and practice

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography or equivalent
• Valid UAE healthcare professional licence or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience; pediatric echo experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of echocardiography techniques and cardiac anatomy
• Proficiency with advanced ultrasound equipment and software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
