Economics Teacher

About the role

The British International School Abu Dhabi is seeking an enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join its secondary and post‑16 programmes. You will deliver the UK National Curriculum, IGCSE and IB Diploma economics content to students of diverse ages and abilities, fostering a love of learning and high academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging economics lessons across Key Stages and the IB Diploma.
• Develop and adapt teaching resources to meet the needs of a multicultural student body.
• Provide pastoral support and contribute to the wider life of the school community.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects.
• Communicate regularly with parents to support student progress.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.

Required profile

• Passionate about teaching economics and committed to continuous professional improvement.
• Positive mindset with a strong focus on student outcomes.
• Extensive experience of the UK national curriculum; international school experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communicator who works well with students, parents and staff.
• Adaptable, collaborative and able to thrive in a fast‑paced international environment.
