EK Network ULD Officer

About the role

Emirates is hiring an EK Network ULD Officer for its Airport Services team in Dubai. Working on a shift basis, the officer controls ULD and accessory movements across all Emirates online and offline stations to achieve maximum payload uplift in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Act independently on shift to maintain adequate station stocks of ULD and accessories, including forecasting and managing transfers to start-up stations, with special attention to the hub and peak-hour baggage needs
• Coordinate with SkyCargo on daily specialized ULD requirements, leasing units and utilization to minimize idle time and demurrage
• Manage the daily service level agreement with DNATA Technical Services so ULD deliveries from assembly and repair match network needs
• Provide the Manager ULD Logistics with monthly repair expense trends and recommend corrective action
• Maintain relationships with the IATA ULD group for interline transfers and track ULDs loaned to other carriers, initiating tracing for missing units
• Track cargo and baggage trends, recommend changes to minimum station stock levels, and advise on ULD configurations for urgent outstation needs
• Decide which non-serviceable units are removed from operation, and with Group Safety investigate aircraft delays caused by damaged ULDs
• Recover ULD repair costs from station handling agents where damage is due to poor handling, and ensure pallets and nets meet FAA airworthiness standards

Required profile

• Minimum of 12 years of schooling or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in airport operations
• Good working knowledge of the airline cargo function
• Additional consideration for experience in demand forecasting, data trend analysis and ULD technical specifications, and knowledge of load processing, cargo and mail handling, IATA dangerous goods and weight and balance procedures
• Experience with aircraft safety and security procedures and approved ULD configurations for the Emirates fleet

• Nomad or similar ULD management system
