Electrical Engineer – Design

About the role

The Electrical Engineer – Design will be responsible for designing Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems for residential, commercial and industrial buildings, ensuring efficient and compliant electrical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and develop design plans, specifications and schematics.
• Perform electrical calculations, size cables, lighting and devices, and produce detailed design drawings and documentation.
• Integrate designs with other building services and incorporate energy‑efficient technologies.
• Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and conduct quality checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer on MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations and industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design software/tools for MEP installations.
• Familiarity with Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems, components and equipment.
• Understanding of construction practices and building codes.
