Electrical Site Inspector – Power Generation (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Inspector to join the Owner’s Engineer team for a confidential power‑generation IPP project in Dubai. The role involves on‑site inspection, testing and commissioning support for electrical installations throughout the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify installation of cable trays, conduits, power and control cables, terminations, panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting and earthing systems.
• Check material receipt, cable pulling, glanding, tagging and overall installation quality against approved drawings, ITPs and method statements.
• Witness and document insulation resistance, continuity, earthing, functional and pre‑energisation tests.
• Raise non‑conformances, observations and punch‑list items, and coordinate corrective actions with the Electrical Engineer, I&C, Commissioning and QA/QC teams.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, daily reports and quality documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical inspection on power‑generation, utilities, industrial plants or EPC projects.
• Proven experience with MV/LV installations, cable works and electrical testing.
• Previous work in the UAE/GCC region is preferred.
