Employee Welfare and Relations Manager

About the role

The Employee Welfare and Relations Manager will lead the Employee Welfare and Relations (EWRT) function for Transguard Group’s HR hub in Dubai. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will ensure that all staff receive timely, professional support on welfare, grievances, disciplinary actions and final settlements while complying with UAE Labour Law and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end employee relations processes, from query resolution and incident management to disciplinary proceedings, terminations and Full & Final settlements.
• Lead, develop and hold accountable a team of HR Coordinators and Team Leaders, ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of settlements, disciplinary decisions, termination approvals and overstay cases to minimise financial exposure.
• Monitor financial implications of policy non‑compliance, including penalties and deductions, and provide data for HR financial reporting.
• Manage employee welfare queries and grievances submitted through the ESP system, assigning cases and meeting SLA timelines.
• Handle escalations from business units, senior management and external stakeholders, providing clear communication and fair resolutions.
• Act as escalation point for complex or non‑standard cases, guiding the team to timely resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations or HR operations, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law and corporate HR policies.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to manage and develop a small HR team.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making abilities with a focus on risk mitigation.
• High level of professionalism, accuracy and urgency in handling sensitive employee matters.
