Energy Optimization Engineer

About the role

The Energy Optimization Engineer will lead facilities engineering activities, manage service providers, and drive energy efficiency initiatives across telecom sites in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Facilities Management service provider for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, as well as capital projects.
• Oversee all facilities contracts, including electromechanical, UPS, HVAC, security, and waste management systems.
• Supervise a team of automation engineers, defining automation strategies and prioritising projects.
• Research building systems and recommend energy improvements, modernization, or equipment upgrades.
• Coordinate electrical maintenance work and ensure availability of spare parts and consumables.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of engineering experience in the telecom industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical works execution for telecom infrastructure.
• Familiarity with UAE No Objection Certification processes.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Office, and Excel.
