Engineer I – Research, Studies & Publication

About the role

AL TAIF is seeking an Engineer I to support research, studies and publication activities for land platform maintenance projects. The role works closely with senior engineers and project managers to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Engineer II, Project Management as a secondary point of contact for customer inquiries.
• Capture mechanical and electrical project requirements and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
• Contribute to detailed project planning, scheduling, and monitoring to meet priorities and resources.
• Conduct feasibility studies, bridge gaps between requirements and solutions, and participate in customer‑engineer meetings.
• Document lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyse risks and issues with senior engineers and prepare monthly project reports.
• Apply project‑management tools to organise and track deliverables.
• Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications and professional networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (required).
• Master’s in Engineering Management or MBA (preferred).
• 1‑3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of project‑management exposure.
• Experience in engineering design (electrical/mechanical) is a plus.
• Interest in PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
