Engineer, Plant Operations

About the role

The Engineer, Plant Operations will supervise daily plant activities to meet oil production, gas, water and CO2 injection targets while ensuring optimal efficiency, safety and equipment reliability at ADNOC’s Al Reyadah facility.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate production and injection adjustments with stakeholders to achieve KPI targets.
• Supervise operations staff and guide multidisciplinary teams in problem solving and performance optimisation.
• Review operating data against design envelopes and flag deviations.
• Ensure daily activities comply with PTW and HSE requirements as Area Authority.
• Act as on‑scene commander during emergencies, managing communication across process facilities.
• Plan, supervise and ensure safe execution of planned and emergency shutdowns.
• Contribute to HAZOP, risk assessments, root‑cause analyses and design reviews.
• Prepare reports on process deviations, recommending safety, energy‑efficiency and cost‑optimisation improvements.
• Analyse manpower distribution and identify skill gaps, proposing development and promotion plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising plant operations in oil & gas or related heavy‑industry environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret process data and laboratory results.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and emergency command.
• Capability to manage teams, assess competency gaps and drive learning initiatives.
