Engineer, Procurement & Contracts (Project Support Team - Gas Ops)

About the role

The Engineer, Procurement & Contracts will lead procurement and contract activities for major and technical projects within the Gas Operations team. The role ensures that all procurement actions, from pre‑qualification to contract award, align with project objectives and company risk policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update contractual strategies and documents to protect company interests.
• Conduct end‑to‑end procurement processes, including tender evaluation and recommendation for award.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks through effective terms and conditions.
• Review scopes of work to prevent misinterpretations, variations, and claims.
• Prepare contractual responses to contractor issues during tendering and execution.
• Negotiate changes, variations, and claims to minimise impact.
• Coordinate material availability and support contract close‑out and issuance of completion certificates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of procurement and contracts experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, commercial acumen, and legal considerations.
• Experience with both pre‑award and post‑award phases of capital projects.
• Knowledge of oil & gas codes, standards, and material specifications.
