Engineering Coordinator

About the role

Wood Group is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to support engineering delivery in Dubai, UAE. The role reports to the Engineering Manager/Project Manager and ensures coordination across disciplines, technical administration and quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate activities across engineering disciplines and inter‑discipline teams.
• Carry out technical administration tasks associated with engineering delivery.
• Support the Engineering Manager with daily technical and administrative duties to improve delivery efficiency.
• Assist with engineering recruitment to enable timely mobilisation of personnel.
• Provide support on MDR development and progress updates for engineering disciplines.
• Ensure work is completed to quality standards and delivered according to the project schedule.
• Liaise with the client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff on delivery issues.
• Act as the point of contact for in‑country engineering queries.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines during Concept, FEED and EPC execution phases.
• Participate in proposal development in support of work‑order requests.
• Promote safe behaviour at all times.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Membership of a recognised professional institute (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years of proven capability in an engineering design company.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design fundamentals and project delivery.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards.

Required skills

• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID and SIL rating applied to engineering design.
• Proficiency in concept selection and FEED studies.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards.
• Experience with company business management systems and quality‑assurance processes.
