Engineering Coordinator – Residences

About the role

The Engineering Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Engineering Department at Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites. This role ensures maintenance activities are efficiently coordinated, records are kept up‑to‑date, and the hotel’s facilities meet the highest standards of safety and service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance requests, assign work orders to the engineering team, and monitor progress.
• Track and follow up on Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to guarantee timely completion.
• Maintain comprehensive engineering records, logs, reports, and department documentation.
• Update the maintenance management system with completed work orders and current job status.
• Liaise with Housekeeping, Front Office, Security and other departments to address maintenance requirements.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, monitor spare‑part inventories, and ensure availability of supplies.
• Arrange contractor visits, service appointments and oversee annual maintenance schedules.
• Keep records of equipment manuals, warranties, service reports and compliance certificates.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly engineering reports for management review.
• Assist with staff attendance, leave records, duty rosters and overtime documentation.
• Record utility meter readings and compile energy consumption reports.
• Handle department emails, phone calls and administrative correspondence promptly.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures and brand standards.
• Perform other administrative duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering.
