Engineering Manager – Offshore Subsea Project

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Engineering Manager will lead all engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore projects, ensuring safe, on‑time, and budget‑conscious delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, HSE) and develop execution plans aligned with project objectives.
• Coordinate interfaces between EPC contractor, ADNOC Offshore, PMC, vendors and subcontractors, monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Review and approve designs, calculations, specifications and ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, UAE regulations and international codes.
• Support procurement, technical bid evaluations and ensure design deliverables facilitate construction and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical or related engineering; Master’s degree and professional certifications (PE, CEng) are a plus.
• 15‑20 years of oil & gas engineering experience, with 8‑10 years in engineering management on offshore platforms, subsea facilities or brownfield projects.
• Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and delivering EPC/EPCM projects for ADNOC Offshore, Saudi Aramco or QatarEnergy.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ADNOC Offshore Engineering Standards, API, ASME, IEC, ISO, NFPA and related codes.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as AVEVA Engineering, SmartPlant (SP3D), E3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Primavera P6 and Aconex/EDMS.
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, risk assessment and functional safety processes.
