Engineering Manager – Projects Department

About the role

ADNOC is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead project engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from assessment and selection through execution, commissioning and handover. The role ensures delivery of engineering scope within approved safety, quality, schedule, cost and technical requirements while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead multidisciplinary project engineering activities across all phases, aligning with ADNOC strategies and project requirements.
• Participate in tender development, evaluate engineering consultants, licensors and EPC contractors, and support bid assessments.
• Develop Statements of Requirement, engineering strategies and implementation plans for effective project execution.
• Review contractor engineering strategies, specifications, construction methodologies and technical submissions for compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to specialists during engineering, construction, commissioning and start‑up.
• Ensure implementation of engineering standards, codes, specifications and best industry practices.
• Monitor engineering progress, identify bottlenecks and promote cost‑effective, value‑adding solutions.
• Oversee pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures and coordinate multidisciplinary commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 120 months (10 years) of experience in project engineering management.
• Proven ability to coordinate large multidisciplinary teams, including PMC, licensors, EPC contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in risk management, performance governance and engineering assurance within complex industrial projects.
