Engineering Supervisor – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead its engineering team in delivering a safe, comfortable and well‑maintained environment for guests and staff. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will oversee daily maintenance operations across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities, ensuring compliance with IHG standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all engineering and maintenance activities, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
• Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public spaces, outlets and service areas to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules to keep equipment safe, functional and operational.
• Guide and coach engineering staff through on‑the‑job training and clear communication.
• Maintain proper handling, storage and care of tools, spare parts and hotel assets.
• Ensure all work complies with IHG brand standards and local health and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel engineering, facilities or building maintenance.
• Strong leadership and team‑coaching abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
