Engineering Technician – Utilities & Plant Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Technician supports engineers in the design, construction, testing and maintenance of plant equipment and systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role is hands‑on, focusing on ensuring utilities, water and HVAC systems operate reliably and meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor water systems, utilities, HVAC, Building Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS).
• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on utilities, process and laboratory equipment, including electrical and instrumentation.
• Conduct calibration, alarm testing and system checks for BMS, EMS and water systems.
• Manage shift operations, execute assigned activities and support equipment qualifications.
• Maintain engineering documentation and ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate facility maintenance and vendor activities for AMCs and other maintenance tasks.
• Ensure safety compliance, EHS activities, waste management and promote safe work practices.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electromechanics or Electronics.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
