Engineering Type Instructor – Aviation Training

About the role

Emirates Engineering Training seeks an experienced Engineering Type Instructor to deliver approved type and task training for the EK fleet, ensuring compliance with GCAA and EASA regulations. The role involves classroom, simulator and on‑line sessions for licensed aircraft engineers, mechanics and support personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Aircraft Type Cat B1.1/B2, Cat A tasks, Cat C/general familiarisation, cabin maintenance, engine overhaul and borescope inspection courses.
• Deliver Basic aircraft maintenance engineering training (Modules 1‑17) as required.
• Develop, organise and update new and existing courses in line with Engineering Procedures Manual, MOE and MTOE.
• Prepare and invigilate examinations, analyse results and implement corrective actions.
• Provide engine run‑up training, classroom and practical simulator sessions.
• Facilitate online synchronous distance‑learning via MS Teams.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic or related engineering.
• Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence (B1/B2) with at least 8 years engineering experience, including 3 years as an instructor.
• Approval on at least one aircraft type (e.g., B777, A380, A350) and thorough knowledge of licensing systems.
• Strong report writing, analytical thinking and ability to train and coach personnel.
