English Teacher – Al Ghad Charter School (2026/27)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an English Teacher for Al Ghad Charter School in Abu Dhabi for the 2026/2027 academic year. The role involves delivering the American curriculum, inspiring students to achieve their best and contributing to the school’s mission to excite, challenge and empower learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons that meet curriculum requirements and cater for the full ability range.
• Assess, record and analyse student progress using the Target Tracker system and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external specialists (e.g., speech therapists) to support student development.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities, including running a weekly ECA each term.
• Contribute to curriculum action groups, school events and community outreach as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is not the first language.
• Passion for whole‑child education and a high level of professionalism.
• Commitment to safeguarding, a clean DBS/police check and respect for a diverse school community.
• Positive, solution‑focused attitude and willingness to engage in extra‑curricular activities.
