English Teacher – Immediate Start (Grades 6‑7)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher for Seer Bani Yas Charter School in Abu Dhabi, starting immediately. The position is for Grades 6 and 7 within an American‑based curriculum serving 617 Emirati boys.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons that inspire students to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum‑aligned lessons and assess student progress using Target Tracker.
• Maintain effective classroom management, follow the school’s behaviour policy, and act as a positive role model.
• Communicate regularly with parents and support staff, providing feedback on student achievement.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, including running a weekly ECA each term.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Passion for whole‑child education and a high level of professionalism.
• Clean enhanced DBS or police check.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the US Middle School English curriculum.
• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess lessons for a range of abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
