English Teacher - Yasmina British Academy (AY 27/28)

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting an English teacher for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the 2027/2028 academic year. The post is full time and requires a secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum, a proven record of raising standards and closing learning gaps, and leadership and teamwork skills. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and police clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to succeed, covering the whole ability range in class
• Plan, prepare and present sessions; organise classroom provision, learning resources and displays
• Observe and assess students in line with the school's assessment policy, and use assessment data to inform planning, provision and intervention
• Give feedback to parents and carers on progress at parent-teacher conferences and other meetings
• Manage classes effectively, follow the school's Behaviour Policy and act as a positive role model
• Act as a form tutor and support the pastoral needs of students
• Work with colleagues to plan lessons, liaise professionally with parents and work with curriculum support staff
• Support department planning, assessment, resources and special events, and take part in school events, outings and activities
• Communicate with parents and carers through school systems such as CPOMS
• Run a weekly ECA each term

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject with PGCE or equivalent
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in the English National Curriculum
• Experience in more than one international school is desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, ability to work under pressure and commitment to CPD
