Enterprise Risk Management Director

About the role

Bybit is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management Director to build and lead its second‑line risk function in Abu Dhabi. You will design the ERM framework, provide independent oversight of financial and non‑financial risks, and ensure the company meets global regulatory expectations for cryptocurrency exchanges.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and continuously improve a group‑wide ERM framework as the second‑line owner.
• Design risk governance structures, policies, and standards aligned with COSO ERM, ISO 31000, and relevant regulations.
• Develop and maintain risk taxonomy, classification standards, and risk appetite statements.
• Coordinate enterprise‑wide risk identification and assessment across regions and business units.
• Collaborate with first‑line functions such as Finance, Security, Legal, Compliance, and group‑level risk teams to ensure effective risk mitigation.
• Provide consistent, proportionate risk monitoring and reporting to senior leadership and regulators.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in enterprise risk management, preferably within financial services or digital asset markets.
• Proven ability to lead a second‑line risk function and interact with regulators.
• Strong understanding of global regulatory expectations for cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
