Environment, Health & Safety Trainer

About the role

An experienced EHS Trainer is sought to design and deliver Environment, Health and Safety training for employees, contractors and other stakeholders. The role promotes a strong safety culture, ensures compliance with applicable HSE regulations and equips staff with the knowledge and skills needed for a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver EHS training, including inductions, toolbox talks and job-specific safety training
• Cover topics such as fire safety, working at heights, confined space entry, PPE, hazard identification, risk assessment and emergency response
• Assess training needs and create materials, presentations and practical demonstrations
• Run competency assessments and evaluate training effectiveness
• Maintain training records, attendance sheets, assessment results and certification documents
• Work with EHS teams, department heads and site supervisors to identify training needs
• Hold site visits and safety awareness sessions, and support safety audits, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions
• Align training with UAE regulations, client requirements and recognised EHS standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in EHS/HSE training, preferably in industrial, construction or manufacturing settings
• Recognised HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH or equivalent
• Trainer or Train-the-Trainer certification is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, hazard identification, incident prevention and emergency procedures
• Excellent presentation, communication and classroom facilitation skills
• Ability to deliver theoretical and practical sessions
• Proficiency in preparing materials, keeping records and using MS Office
• Familiarity with UAE HSE regulations and industry-specific safety requirements
