Environmental Health & Safety Specialist (Part‑time Remote)

About the role

The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist supports safe, healthy and environmentally responsible practices across HeForShe’s operations. This part‑time remote position focuses on risk assessment, regulatory compliance and the development of EHS guidelines aligned with the organization’s values.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits for nonprofit, corporate or public‑sector initiatives.
• Monitor and review compliance with relevant environmental, health and safety regulations and standards.
• Prepare reports and recommend improvements to occupational health and environmental compliance processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to communicate EHS standards and provide training materials.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage part‑time responsibilities.
