Environmental Test Technician

About the role

Orbitworks is seeking a hands‑on Environmental Test Technician to support the qualification of satellite hardware and spacecraft systems. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality and test teams to prepare hardware, configure test equipment and execute environmental test campaigns safely and accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare spacecraft hardware, components and test articles for environmental testing.
• Set up and configure test fixtures, sensors (accelerometers, thermocouples), cables and data‑acquisition systems.
• Execute vibration, thermal, thermal‑vacuum and other qualification or acceptance test procedures while monitoring hardware and equipment.
• Record test parameters, observations, anomalies and results, and support post‑test inspections.
• Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot test equipment, tooling and laboratory areas.
• Follow safety, quality and configuration‑control procedures to ensure a clean, organized test environment.

Required profile

• Diploma, technical qualification or Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace or a related field.
