Estimation Engineer – Water Treatment

About the role

Umanist NA is seeking an Estimation Engineer to support its water treatment projects in Sharjah. The role focuses on preparing Bills of Quantities, material take‑offs and cost estimates based on mechanical drawings for pumps, valves, piping and related equipment. You will work closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely estimations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret mechanical equipment drawings and layouts for water treatment systems.
• Prepare BOQs, material take‑offs and cost estimations directly from drawings.
• Support technical and commercial proposal preparation.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to gather required data.
• Maintain supplier quotations, cost databases and estimation templates.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Estimation Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Must be currently located in the UAE and hold a valid spouse or own visa.

Required skills

• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience with BOQ preparation and material take‑offs.
• Knowledge of water treatment equipment such as pumps, flanges, piping and valves.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
