Estimator Quantity Surveyor – Pre‑Contract

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join its Pre‑Contract team in Abu Dhabi. You will perform standard estimating activities, develop detailed cost breakdowns, and support project teams with accurate cost forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Review design information and drawings during the pre‑contract stage.
• Prepare material take‑offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Bases of Estimate (BOE) including scope, pricing, assumptions, and escalation.
• Deliver comprehensive cost estimates, including general conditions and job costs, using both parametric and bottoms‑up approaches.
• Collaborate with small estimate teams to produce final deliverables that meet client requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 15 years of estimating experience, with at least 5 years in pre‑contract work in Abu Dhabi.
• Strong knowledge of construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
