Event Management Teacher

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) is seeking a dedicated Event Management Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction and assessment to students pursuing vocational qualifications in event management and related business disciplines. The role involves developing engaging learning resources, guiding student career planning, and contributing to the institute’s community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Event Management, Business, Finance, Communications, and HR.
• Design, implement and assess coursework, ensuring alignment with vocational standards.
• Develop and share contextualised teaching strategies and resources.
• Advise students on educational and career pathways.
• Perform administrative duties related to teaching, including assessment validation and record keeping.
• Participate in student application and enrollment processes.
• Organise and lead field trips and practical industry visits.
• Collaborate with the English department, other ADVETI institutes, and external partners.
• Promote ADVETI’s programmes to students, employers and the wider community.
• Maintain health, safety, welfare and security standards within the teaching environment.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent professional experience in event management.
• Strong knowledge of event planning, business operations, finance and communications.
• Ability to develop curriculum and assessment tools for vocational education.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for student advising and community outreach.
• Willingness to engage in administrative and promotional activities.
