Event Registration, Customer Service and Timing Intern (Unpaid)

About the role

ITP Sport, part of ITP Media Group, delivers sports events and experiences such as Spartan and Tough Mudder. It is looking for an organised, customer-focused and proactive unpaid intern to support participant registration, event enquiries and race timing operations. The role gives hands-on experience in event management, participant services and event-day operations, working closely with internal teams and external timing providers.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to participant enquiries and help with registration updates, changes and general event information.
• Support race pack collection and event-day check-in so the process stays smooth and organised.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external timing providers on participant start lists, timing chips and race results.
• Help resolve timing and results enquiries, escalating issues when needed.
• Maintain accurate registration records and participant information.
• Support post-event reporting, results follow-ups and general administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach with good problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable handling enquiries and several tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, participants and external providers.
• Flexibility to support event-day operations when required.
• An interest in sports, events or customer service is an advantage.
