Event Service Expert - Banquets

About the role

W Hotels in Abu Dhabi is hiring an Event Service Expert for its banquets. The role covers setting up and serving food and beverage stations, maintaining table presentation and cleanliness, and supporting guests during banquet events.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare coffee breaks, carts and stations with food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order.
• Set up tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert tables and cordial carts.
• Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen, and make sure courses are cleared and tables are crumbed.
• Replenish buffet items and monitor tableware so it stays presentable.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organisation of the assigned station and service areas.
• Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware and flatware.
• Follow company and safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training, and keep a clean, professional appearance.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and speak clearly and professionally.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience; no supervisory experience required.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and more with help, and move over uneven surfaces and stairs.
