Executive Director - Structured Products and Clients Solutions

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is looking for an Executive Director to lead and manage its Structured Trading & Solutions activities. The role covers structuring and executing transactions, risk and investment return analysis, and supporting colleagues and junior traders, with the aim of maximizing profitability while minimizing risk exposure and complying with internal policy and external regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the business strategy and manage customer flow to meet and exceed budget targets.
• Structure and trade illiquid assets such as loans, private debt and equity, CLOs, securitization of receivables and insurance-backed financing.
• Expand product offerings, improve processes and train and mentor junior staff.
• Develop new products and underlying collateral, and provide pricing to support customers and sales colleagues.
• Accompany sales on customer visits and calls, and work with quant teams on pricing and valuation curves and booking models.
• Produce market commentaries and trade recommendations, and adapt the trading mandate with the Risk team.
• Ensure compliance with risk and counterparty limits, develop risk mitigation strategies and expand counterparty awareness.
• Build strong relationships with counterparties, brokers and other market participants.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, commerce or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant markets experience in similar positions.
• Strong structuring and trading experience in financing of illiquid assets.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, jurisdictions and compliance requirements.
• Preferred: master's degree or equivalent professional certification in finance, and experience with Murex and Bloomberg.
