Executive - Workplace Technology

About the role

This role covers workplace technology support across retail and F&B stores, including troubleshooting POS, billing, attendance and access control systems, supporting store and office users, and handling IT setup and closure for new and closing stores. It also involves coordinating with project and brand teams on store openings and closures.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve POS, billing software and network issues such as application errors, WAN/LAN faults, Wi-Fi drops and VPN instability, and fix biometric attendance and access control machine faults.
• Investigate IT-related customer complaints from store teams and deliver remote support, with on-site visits for hardware replacement or escalated issues.
• Log, triage and manage store support tickets within SLA, flag at-risk tickets and keep store managers informed.
• Coordinate with project and brand teams on new store openings: confirm asset lists, timelines and network requirements, then install POS terminals, printers, scanners, cabling and peripherals, and configure routers, switches, wireless APs and VLANs.
• Configure firewalls, VPN tunnels to Head Office, billing software and mPOS devices, and commission biometric machines, then sign off the pre-opening IT checklist.
• Manage IT asset collection for closing stores: de-install, catalogue and reconcile equipment, clean and pack it, decommission systems, revoke credentials and terminate network access, and produce a completion report.
• Support users' hardware and software: fix laptop, desktop and printer faults, handle Microsoft 365 and Active Directory issues, and provide training on Microsoft 365, VPN and password management.
• Set up devices for new employees, install role-appropriate software, register staff in the biometric system and run an IT orientation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications in infrastructure technologies are preferred.
