Fabricator / CNC Laser & Press Brake / Plasma Operator & MIG Welder

About the role

Comtech Steel Industries is seeking a skilled Fabricator who can operate CNC laser, press brake, and plasma cutting machines, as well as perform MIG welding. The position is full‑time, on‑site in Umm al‑Quwain, supporting the production of steel structures for solar mounting systems and lighting poles.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting on CNC laser, press brake, and plasma cutting equipment.
• Cut, bend, drill, and assemble structural steel components according to technical drawings.
• Execute MIG welding on mild steel, preparing joints and applying finishing as required.
• Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, squares and gauges.
• Load, unload and safely handle materials throughout the workshop.
• Support senior fabricators and welders, follow production schedules and maintain workshop cleanliness.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, use PPE and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Required profile

• Practical experience in steel fabrication, cutting, bending and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication sketches.
• Experience with CNC laser, press brake and plasma cutting machines.
• Proficiency in MIG welding on mild steel.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Umm al‑Quwain and follow supervisor instructions.
