Facilities Coordinator – Maintenance Engineering

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join its Reliability Maintenance Engineering team in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on ensuring safety compliance, timely preventive maintenance, and high equipment availability across Amazon’s warehouse network.

Key responsibilities

• Model and enforce health and safety best practices on the floor.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for all material handling equipment (MHE) and provide hands‑on support.
• Coach and mentor technicians, and supervise shift operations in the line manager’s absence.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, prioritize work, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain equipment performance metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Manage contractors working within the facility.
• Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent.
• Experience in industrial controls, automation, or project management (resource planning, scheduling, reporting).

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting.
• Material handling systems installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Industrial controls and automation knowledge.
• Project management capabilities.
