Facilities Engineer – Real Estate

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Facilities Engineer to manage the maintenance and operational efficiency of our real‑estate portfolio. The role involves overseeing site inspections, coordinating daily cleaning and maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and schedule necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance plans and allocate work based on forecasted workloads.
• Recruit, supervise, train and mentor maintenance staff.
• Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance operations across all properties.
• Oversee repairs, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
• Maintain inventory of tools and equipment, guaranteeing proper storage.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, safety inspections and follow‑up on all repair work.
• Develop strategies to meet workload demands and adhere to health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MEP Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance practices.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Proven budgeting and performance‑management abilities.
• Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and make sound decisions.
