Facilities Manager - Data Center

About the role

G42, a technology holding group and global leader in artificial intelligence, is hiring a Facilities Manager. The role manages data center facilities and infrastructure end to end, including white space, MEP systems and building operations, ensuring high availability, safety compliance and optimized capacity. It combines facility management, data center operations, leadership and white space optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the data center, including electrical, mechanical and building systems (MEP), and own preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Lead data center operations to meet uptime, reliability and SLA targets, act as escalation point for critical incidents and drive root cause analysis.
• Manage white space (server rooms, racks, layouts), capacity plans, rack allocation, DCIM records and audits of power, cooling and space utilization.
• Lead facility projects such as construction, fit-outs and upgrades, and keep as-built drawings and documentation up to date.
• Manage contractors and vendors, approve Permit-to-Work processes, and build relationships with IT, NOC, Security and Projects.
• Ensure compliance with US regulatory standards, safety codes and data center certifications, lead HSE programs and fire drills, and follow Uptime Institute standards.
• Manage space planning, inventory, asset lifecycle and operational budgets (CAPEX/OPEX).
• Lead, mentor and train facilities, operations and technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related field).
• 8-12+ years of experience in data center facilities or critical environment operations.
• Experience with MEP systems in mission-critical facilities, data center infrastructure and white space management, incident management, RCA and maintenance programs.
